| WGRZ-TV News Daybreak crew, Pete Gallivan, Jodi Johnston and Chesley McNeil visit with HWI Scientists | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute is celebrating 50 years of groundbreaking research and beginning the next fifty years in our one-year old home. Our new state-of-the-art facility gives us room to grow – recruiting new talent to Western New York. Our scientists are striving toward greater scientific understanding and educating the young scientists of the future. The Institutes staff continuously encourages students to pursue careers in the sciences and to become part of the next generation of basic biomedical researchers. This is particularly important in an era when the number of individuals entering such careers is waning. The Institute also provides a Speakers Bureau to help meet the needs of the community for more information about science and basic research.
